This video explains 3 things about football, how tackling is affected by momentum, how to throw a spiral and how a tee efects kicking. With tackling, momentum is key if you have little momentum like the first tackle it's way more dificult than with a lot of momentum as shown in the 3rd tackle. A spiral is generated because of how you hold a football with your fingers toward the back of the ball and the palm on the outside. The momentum genterated from your arm propels the ball foward almost sliping through your fingers. The down and across motion of your arm along with your fingers on the football cause the ball to spin in a spiral and as the ball flys through the air grafty causes the ball to drop to its target. When you kick a ball you want a balance of power and accuracy. When you kick the football from the ground you get less of both because of the friction generated from the ball dragging on the ground for a split second cause the ball to slow down. The tee takes out the friction for the most part and the elevation and angle helps make it fly higher, leading to more distance. These and many other thing are eliments that a football player can control.
